Canndescent wins Best Packaging Design of 2018

Canndescent has been voted the winner of the Best Packaging Design category in the 2018 AdCann Advertising Awards. The Canndescent team has created packaging that is both extremely visually appealing and highly functional. This type of thoughtful design deeply resonates with the sophisticated cannabis consumer.

Adrian Sedlin, the CEO of Canndescent, is on a mission: to make cannabis a luxury product. He told Garage “We want to build a high-end product for the premium or ultra-premium marketplace...where people know they’re getting the highest quality product on the market, with all the bells and whistles.”

The team at Canndescent surely accomplished this mission through their magnificent packaging design.

The mastermind behind Canndescent’s current marketing, advertising and design is the talented VP of Marketing / Chief Marketing Officer Jenna Habayeb. Jenna brings over a decade of valuable marketing experience to the company. In fact, the Canndescent team has a wide array of experience spanning CPG, real estate, startup, fashion, and 200 combined years of cannabis cultivation. This accumulated experience is what has helped the brand transcend the cannabis space in their branding and packaging design.

Let’s take a look at Canndescent’s flower packaging.

Canndescent’s standard strains are sold by 1/8 of an ounce (or 3.5 grams). They also have smaller 1 gram box options.

Each clementine-coloured box contains a glass bottle filled with cannabis flowers untouched by human hands, branded as “virgin cannabis”; along with rolling papers, matches and hemp wick. Premium marijuana and all of the necessary materials to enjoy it in one simple package.

Another important part of Canndescent’s branding and packaging is their strain architecture of Calm, Cruise, Create, Connect and Charge. Each package features an informational graph outlining the differences between these strains and the effects the consumer can expect.

Canndescent did a fantastic job designing their renowned limited edition gift sets.

These collectible boxes include cannabis flower in glass jars, organic hemp wick, rolling papers, crutches, and matches. They are available in two-jar and five-jar sets.
