Curious as to what you missed at the Lift & Co. Expo this year? Lift & Co. Expo 2021 just wrapped, which wowed the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from November 18 – 21. This year was something really special for the four-day cannabis and psychedelics conference and trade show, spotlighting new trends, innovative thought leadership, and exclusive networking opportunities.

This year, ADCANN was proud to be a Media Sponsor of the annual Lift & Co. Expo in Toronto – four days of networking and education. This four-day event brought together leaders of not only the cannabis industry but also the newly emerging psychedelics sector. With Front Street covered in a delicious haze from the movers and shakers connecting outside, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre full of booths, brands, and the people who make all of them possible, this year saw hundreds of professionals from both industries gathered to connect and discuss the latest innovations.

Lift&Co. Consumer Day

What You Missed at the Lift & Co. Expo 2021

The four-day expo began with the Lift Business Conference – while there were no stands yet to browse, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre was packed with leaders across every element of the industry, all coming together to share knowledge and network. Between a decadent breakfast and lunch, there was plenty of speakers across topics aimed at those seeking to drive the industry forward: emerging trends in retail, current regulations, and marketing. With speakers such as Bruce Linton of Red Light Holland, John Fowler of Muskoka Grown, and George Smitherman of the Cannabis Council of Canada, this was a day not to be missed for anyone seeking to learn anything and everything about the business of cannabis.

Day two of the Expo was two-pronged; featuring Lift Industry Day as well as the Psychedelics Business Summit. While the basement featured topics looking to the future of psychedelics, such as regulators’ perspectives, patient breakthroughs, and analyses of the industry, the second floor of the convention opened up and saw speakers diving deeper into topics in cannabis. With all of the speakers being trailblazers in their respected industries, such as Jerome Hoyte of White Ash Group, Rob Tessarolo of Neonmind, and our very own Cody Hicks of ADCANN, the power of plants was fully on display for those in attendance.

The final two days of the Lift & Co. Expo were the Consumer Days, where the event opened up to everyone interested in cannabis and psychedelics. The upper hall was filled with booths with some of the top cannabis brands and the manufacturers that make all of their products possible where budtenders & consumers alike could learn & network. The stages featured topics such as investing, home growing, and love/romance from some of the most respected figures in the industry.

And that’s not half of it. You can find a full list of the topics and panelists who attended this year’s Lift&Co. Expo here

Also of great importance, Lift&Co. Expo was constantly keeping up-to-date with Ontario health and safety measures surrounding COVID-19. Proper protocols were a top priority throughout the event. Businesses, buyers, sellers, and consumers who attended were welcomed into the safest environment possible.

Throughout the convention floor, many brands tried to stand out from the pack. Dutchie made waves with their “Hotel Dutchie” booth, in which a line wrapped around as many industry professionals were excited for not only their star-studded afterparty but to receive a set of slippers sporting the Dutchie logo; reminiscent of the pair many received from the hotels they were staying at. Set up like a hotel lobby, their “guests” could get hands-on experience with their software before jetting off for a night of fun, food, live music, and networking with some of the biggest names in cannabis.

While many cannabis events have been canceled or delayed in the wake of the pandemic, Lift & Co. Expo 2021 came back strong to provide knowledge and opportunities to grow at their event this year. We here at ADCANN cannot wait to see what’s to come next year.
