Curious as to what you missed at the Lift & Co. Expo this year? Lift & Co. Expo 2022 just ended, which dazzled the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from May 12th – 15th. Returning to the same location as last year, the four-day Expo focused on cannabis and psychedelics, creating an unforgettable experience once again.

This four-day event brought together leaders of not only the cannabis industry but also the newly emerging psychedelics sector. With Front Street covered in a familiar haze from the movers and shakers celebrating outside, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre full of booths, brands, and the people who make all of them possible, this year saw hundreds of professionals from both industries gathered to connect and discuss the latest innovations.

Lift Expo 2022 Recap

The four-day expo began with the Lift Business Conference – while there were no stands yet to browse, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre was packed with leaders across every element of the industry, all coming together to share knowledge and network. Experts from every corner of the industry came together for insightful panels as exhibitors began to prepare their booths for the hundreds of heads that would soon be exploring the convention.

On the second day, the convention floor opened to the public and the cannabis community was able to finally connect with the brands they love for the remainder of the event.  In between the panels hosted on the main stage, guests had the opportunity to explore and engage with countless brands. As you entered, you were treated by the familiar face of Mike Tyson on a giant screen & life-sized cutout at the Futurola booth, where they showed off their impressive packing technology and variety of wraps. Dutchie returned with their Hotel Dutchie, where they gifted slippers akin to ones at a luxury spa while encouraging onlookers to stop by for a selfie at their appropriately themed photo booth.

The third day of Lift Expo was dedicated to those who keep propelling our industry forward – the budtenders. A variety of panels relevant to the daily lives of budtenders graced the main stage as budtenders were given the opportunity to not only learn about the brands they sell daily but network with executives and amongst themselves.

While there were many familiar faces from previous LiftExpos, many newcomers emerged. KookiJar‘s team was nestled beside the wifi lounge and canteen to show off their stunning cannabis storage products as well as their app. CannaReps sat beside the main stage challenging attendees to identify terpenes off scent alone in order to discuss the need for further education across the cannabis industry. ADCANN’s agency partner, grnhouse, had a booth to show off its capabilities with digital marketing and community building.

On the final day, the Expo was opened up to the consumers, offering a unique chance for brands to speak directly to both their most loyal customers, as well as those curious about their brands. Brands like Smoking handed out their products for curious consumers to get a one-on-one experience while others such as Weedmaps showed off their app and offered games for their users to win a variety of prizes.
