BC Cannabis Culture
The Grow Up Victoria Conference was hosted on Vancouver Island, where a large part of Canada’s cannabis history has taken place and where a large number of the genetics that have made “BC Bud” famous have originated. Some of the country’s most renowned breeders, growers, facilities and brands are based within an hour or two of the conference grounds. Naturally, many of the speakers and attendees of the conference are industry trailblazers who were able to share a wealth of knowledge.
High Impact Marketing Panel
ADCANN founder (and Marketing Manager at Ghost Drops), Colin Bambury, spoke on the “High Impact Marketing” panel on the main stage on the second day of the conference. Joining him was Cy Williams from High Canada Magazine, Kaya Arai from Nine Point Agency and Cameron Gallacher from Latched. Colin spoke on the importance of pushing the boundaries when it comes to marketing and branding within the cannabis industry. He shared important lessons that he’s observed from years of writing for ADCANN and building brands within the cannabis industry.
Notable Speakers and Exhibitors
Other notable speakers and panelists included Ed Rosenthal, Ted Smith, Tommy Chong, Jodie Giesz-Ramsay, Spensir, Andrea Dobbs, Marcus “Bubbleman” Richardson, Antuanette Gomez, Remo Colasanti and Mat Beren. Brands and Buyers Speed Networking
The Grow Up Victoria Conference brought unique value to retailers by organizing their B2B “Brands and Buyers Speed Networking” sessions. These sessions provided budtenders and retail representatives with their own tables, where LP and brand representatives would take turns visiting to show off new and upcoming products and share other exclusive knowledge. Grow Up Conference facilitated these conversations in a structured environment is a meaningful way for brands to collaborate together in this industry.
