Green Street wins Best Agency in the U.S.

Green Street has won Agency Of The Year (U.S.) in the 2018 AdCann Advertising Awards. The Green Street team has accomplished so much in the past year including several celebrity partnerships and product launches, opening a new workspace in downtown LA and creating the premier cannabis trade show in California.

Green Street is an L.A.-based marketing and branding agency focused on the cannabis space. The company was founded by Rama Mayo and Joshua Shelton in late 2012.

Green Street is widely known for helping celebrities including 2 Chainz, The Game and Sublime with Rome create cannabis industry partnerships. The firm also works with cannabis community social media influencers such as Adam ill to create product offerings.


In 2016, the agency created a first-of-its-kind cannabis brand showroom in the penthouse of Miracle Mile’s historic Art Deco Wilshire Tower building and partnered with a variety of other brands to join them in a cannabis-business incubator. That building was sold in late 2018 and construction began on a new seven-story building in downtown L.A. that will host the same concept.

The 67,000-square-foot building will hold a few floors of co-working space, offices, a restaurant, an art gallery, retail space, and a rooftop amenity deck that will serve providers and consumers of cannabis-related products. More than a dozen companies are signed up to work out of Green Street, all of them weed-related start-ups and businesses. This is a great way for Green Street to foster an environment where cannabis companies can mutually benefit and grow together.

In May of 2018, high-profile investor and prolific entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk acquired a 50% stake in the company. Vaynerchuk is an early investor in names such as Twitter, Facebook, Venmo, Resy and Uber. He’s well known for growing his family’s wine business from $3 to $60 million a year, largely by creating the e-commerce platform Wine Library. Vaynerchuk owns VaynerMedia, an award winning social media focused digital agency based in New York City. He’s also created The Gallery which houses women focused publisher PureWow. Green Street is well positioned to benefit off of Gary’s expertise and resources.


Hall of Flowers is a B2B trade show and conference of premium cannabis products and businesses launched by the founders of Green Street. The inaugural event launched in September of 2018 at the Santa Rosa fair grounds in California. Unlike other cannabis shows, sales of cannabis products are completely allowed within the boundaries of the conference. Other shows like MJBizCon are primarily stocked with ancillary businesses like LED light companies and grow units. HoF instead focuses on genuine craft cannabis brands that consumers love. The conference also featured special speakers like Gary Vaynerchuk. HoF is quickly becoming the number one cannabis trade show in North America. It is impressive that the minds behind Green Street (Rama Mayo and Joshua Shelton) also created this successful conference venture.
