Green Relief wins Best Social Media in Canada
Green Relief has been voted the winner of the Best Social Media category in the 2018 AdCann Advertising Awards. The Green Relief team, along with content marketing collective Bellwether X, have created an engaged community on social media platforms. Let’s take a look at what makes them so successful.
Authenticity and openness
Green Relief is an open book on social media. They allow their followers access to their employees and most importantly, their founder. Each Friday, Green Relief shares a video from CEO and founder Warren Bravo discussing topics ranging from the company’s history and mission to his personal past experiences and general advice. This allows Green Relief to have an air of authenticity and helps them develop deep trust among their customers and followers.
Another effective strategy that Green Relief utilizes is showing who their employees are. The video below features the LP’s “Client Care” team. These are the individuals that the company’s patients are contacting when they reach out. It is important that they are seen as trustworthy and accessible. The majority of Green Relief’s content on Instagram shows their real employees doing their real jobs. The company becomes more authentic and interesting because of this openness.
Green Relief features only high quality professional photos on their feed. This is extremely important for a visual medium like Instagram.
Collaborations and contests
Green Relief uses collaborations and partnerships to further their reach. The LP has teamed up with Maitri, a Quebec-based cannabis accessory producer, to create an accessory kit. They also teamed up with Goldleaf (a company that produces thoughtful printed materials for the cannabis community) to create a custom engraved patient journal. Green Relief gave these items away on their Instagram to their followers. This encouraged users to comment, like and share these posts - which resulted in increased impressions for the LP.
Emphasizing The unique
Green Relief has a unique growing process called Aquaponics, which combines the best attributes of aquaculture and hydroponics, without the need to discard water or add chemical fertilizers. It produces 10 times the crop yield per acre and uses 90% less water than conventional farming. This method uses fish. Green Relief emphasizes their uniqueness by posting photos of these fish and explaining their special growing process.
Green Relief uses their Twitter to spread helpful and informational content about cannabis. Many of their tweets re-direct to longer articles that can be found on their website blog. The company also uses photo captions on Instagram to inform their followers.
